We help low-income seniors care for their pets, who are sometimes their only companion. Even during normal times, our seniors are lacking companionship or just human contact. However, during these extraordinary times, these furry friends are their only source of interaction. ComPETnionship strives to ease the hardship of pet ownership, and allow seniors to enjoy their companionship, reap the mental and physical rewards of owning a pet, without the additional challenges of feeding their friends. An overwhelming number of studies have clearly shown significant benefits from pet ownership, including lowered risk of depression, reduced early death, and just happier lives. Many seniors with fixed income have to choose between caring for themselves or providing for their companions. We bridge that gap by providing those essential items for pet ownership, such as pet food. Together, we can help our senior citizens continue to enjoy the close companionship that pets provide with one less worry.
