Andrew Chang is a 10th grader who lives in Bellevue, Washington. He was an owner of two dogs himself and the founder of ComPETnionship, a non profit organization. While many exemplary organizations already exist, ComPETnionship focuses primarily in assisting senior pet owners care for their pets so that they may never have the need to make the difficult choice between themselves or their companions. Especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, it has become ever more dangerous for seniors to interact, even with family. Their pets have become critical to their daily companionship and essential for their well being. Andrew’s organization empowers our senior citizens to provide for their companions on their own terms with their specific requests. Our senior citizens and their pets need our help now more than ever.
